Roblox is one of the most fun, dynamic, and popular platforms in the world. Learn to create and program with Roblox as the output and framework.
In this course, students will start the week digging into the Roblox studio editor, learning to import and manipulate assets to design levels. Students will get into the basics of scripting, using loops, variables, conditionals, and functions to create new game mechanics. By the end of the week, students will create their own Roblox games, including platforming, puzzles, and basic combat.

More About This Course
Our Game Design courses teach students how to create their own video games. They’ll design levels, characters, and full games using game creation tools. Our Game Design with Roblox course allows students to create 3D platforming based games using editing tools like Roblox Studio and programming with Lua.
The Adventures Experience: In this unique course for 9 to 12-year-olds, students will design games and assets and then learn to market them using the Roblox Marketplace. The Roblox Marketplace contains community-made items that other users can incorporate into their own games and creations.

If a student already has some experience, are different skill levels accommodated in the course?
Instructors and TAs are always willing to modify and customize the curriculum to make sure that all students are engaged and challenged. The first day or so will be utilized to gauge students’ individual skills and strengths. We also have advanced extensions for every course, so teachers can challenge advanced students.
